If you’re searching for a guild where you can unleash your inner beast, look no further.
This week, we’re featuring a guild that loves the thrill of the hunt above all things. The European guild Die Erben von Hircine has dedicated itself to the worship of the Daedric Prince of the hunt, and if you’ve been looking for a pack to run with, they may just accept you into their ranks. Here’s our interview with these beastly warriors from the Dominion:
What is your guild’s name? Does that name have a special history of significance?
“Die Erben von Hircine,” which translates to “The Heirs of Hircine.” We have the Daedric Prince of the Hunt and Father of the Manbeasts, our god Hircine, to thank for the name.
Hircine rules over the Hunting Grounds, his own plane of Oblivion. We swore our allegiance to him and he bestowed us with his gift in return. Our community exists on the borders of society, bloodthirsty. Our closest friend is the night, so be wary when the inner beast awakes.
We’ll hunt down Molag Bal’s vampires relentlessly and maul them.
When was your guild formed? Tell us the story of how the guild came to be.
We formed back in January, when we originated from a beta group on Facebook. We were together in TeamSpeak and talked about establishing a guild on a whim.
What alliance has your guild sworn fealty to?
We’re fighting for the Aldmeri Dominion, as our guild house sits empty in Riverhold, but we’re actually following the goals given to us by Hircine.
Why did you choose that alliance?
Because all of us were fixated on High Elves, Wood Elves, and Khajiit. We simply like the Dominion.
How many members does your guild currently have?
Right now (04/19/2014) we have 77 members.
Does your guild have a website?
Yes, of course; it’s www.EvH-Gilde.de. We offer lot of insight into the guild, including trade skills, so everyone is able to see who’s pursuing which craft and even their researched traits.
There are also lore and story entries published about our guild members, and we feature our own “guild courier,” a weekly video podcast.
Our homepage offers many things already, something we really want to continue to do.
What times and days is the guild most active?
We primarily play during European evening hours, starting at 16:00 UTC (around noon EDT), since many of us are employed.
What countries do your members span?
We are from Germany and play together with people from Poland, Russia, Austria, and Switzerland.
What activities in ESO do your members enjoy doing together the most?
Right now we’re very active in dungeons. Many of us quest alone, because we want to enjoy the stories—which is very understandable, considering the scope of the available content.
What does your guild focus on in-game? Do your members prefer delving dungeons together, fighting for keeps in Cyrodiil, roleplaying in the taverns, crafting and trading, or a combination?
We aren’t focused at all and do pretty much everything—PvP, PvE, exploration, trading, waiting for the upcoming Trials, roleplay, and fun events as well.
What makes your guild unique?
Our members make our guild unique. The friendliness and maturity they have shown so far is simply fabulous. We’ve got a unique TeamSpeak culture.
Is your guild part of a larger alliance of guilds? Why did you join them?
We’re avoiding alliances right now and focusing on the guild itself.
Does your guild ever host special events? If so, tell us about them!
Oooh, yes. So far we’ve had one event each and every weekend. For example, we’ve had a PvP trial evening for newbies, a group photo event, some world boss “gotta kill them all!” and a workout flash mob in Vulkhel Guard, which we’ve screenshotted and put up on YouTube.

What is your favorite or most memorable moment as a guild so far in ESO?
The group photos and the workout flash mob in Vulkhel Guard were simply epic. Thanks again to all members.
Does your guild secretly (or not so secretly) follow a specific Daedric Prince? If so, which one?
Hircine, Prince of the Hunt.
After a long day of adventuring, where does your guild enjoy gathering to wind down?
On our TeamSpeak 3 server. There are more than enough channels to make everyone happy.
Tell us five fun facts about your guild.
- The guild leadership consists of a bloke who thinks he’s a Khajiit and an ugly High Elf who lost every beauty contest in Auridon.
- We have our guild member Scraaby. *grabbing the moon-sugared popcorn*
- Almost all of us wear a temporary pelt.
- The average age of our members is around 30, and the ladies in our guild don’t sound like this one.
- Sheogorath lost a fondue-eating contest against Hircine.
If people are interested in joining your guild, who should they contact?
We have a special officer for that. Mister Written Application by Web Form: Application form.
