Take a moment to admire Xenomurphy’s latest LEGO diorama, capturing one of Apocrypha’s key locations!
To celebrate the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom in June, we teamed up with talented LEGO builder Xenomurphy to bring the village of Cipher’s Midden to life!
Behold Cipher’s Midden
Cipher’s Midden is one of the first locations you’ll discover while exploring the mind-bending landscape of Apocrypha, and it’s one of the few safe havens for mortals in Hermaeus Mora’s realm. Like so many others, Xenomurphy found himself drawn to this bizarre location.
“When I saw Cipher’s Midden for the first time during the April stream, I was fascinated by the houses balancing on books, and thus the plan for the diorama was born,” said Xenomurphy.
The scene halfway through completion
The village is jam-packed with all kinds of otherworldly, intricate details that might prove daunting to a builder, but Instead, Xenomurphy found the challenge thrilling.
“The most exciting part was the construction of the book stack,” explains Xenomurphy. “The complete construction only took one day and represented an essential element to the build. In addition to its function as a visually interesting object, the stack serves to stabilize the house itself.”

Following the build’s completion, it was put on display at this year’s ESO Tavern. Guests couldn’t help but stop to admire the hard work that went into the build.
“The community was extremely enthusiastic,” says Xenomurphy. “Especially regarding the small details like the Arcanist with his green beam hitting an enemy, the Warden with her bear, the hidden treasure chest, or the different merchants.”
