During the Free Play Event period, users on PC/Mac (Steam not included), Xbox consoles (Xbox Live Gold required), PlayStation consoles, and Stadia can download and play ESO at no cost.
You can answer the call to adventure and join millions of other players by visiting our Free Play page and selecting your platform. This event will give you access to the ESO base game, which includes four classes to master, 24 story zones to explore (including Vvardenfell), Battlegrounds and Alliance War PvP, and more.
Even better, because the Free Play Event grants you access to the base game, you can play the High Isle Prologue questline and begin your Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure—setting the scene for the events of The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle and beyond.
