Read stories of love or friendship in ESO, see Tamriel’s most romantic locations, and marvel at the community’s Heart’s Day housing creations—all submitted by the #ESOFam!
Earlier this month, we asked the ESO community to share their stories of finding real-world love or friendship in Tamriel, screenshots of their favorite romantic in-game locations, and their Heart’s Day housing creations. Here’s some of the amazing submissions we received from the #ESOFam.
Tales of Love & Friendship Found
Icy Angel X
My love story started in the year 2020 when I met a new Guild member. After she started throwing snowballs at me to get my attention, we started running Guild events together. After about five months of gaming with each other, we both caught feelings and eventually moved in together. Now we are living together, still playing ESO together, and happily engaged!

I met this cool MagSorc main on his ESO stream two years ago, and after lots of PvP, Dungeons, Trials achievements, and questing, here we are, shifting from our ESO housing projects to a real one soon! We love to play, stream, and create ESO content together. :)

I met my husband on ESO through a high school friend that I was playing with. I had recently had a terrible breakup, so I was just gaming to help me through it. We hit it off though and became fast friends who caught feelings for each other. Now we've been together for six years, living together for five years, and married for two and a half years. I thank this game (and my friend) often for introducing me to him. We still play ESO together!
Serpentartiflette
We used to watch the same ESO streamer and talk sometimes as he thought my pseudo on Twitch was funny. Once, I recognized his pseudo while we were farming the same Dark Anchor in game. I said “hi” and that was the start of a long journey playing together for months and becoming friends. Then, last year, we met and our friendship evolved. Now we are living together and are still spending time playing ESO, discovering new Chapters and DLC side by side.

My friends Zee, Raunh, and I all met through a guild in ESO and are now coming up on our two-year anniversary this March. It's a little wild to think about, honestly. Since we met in 2020, we've gone through a lot together. From hazardous trips to Hooters (thanks Zee), in-game stories of Argonians with twenty abs, and baffling typos (sudden denim, vovonut, spronkles, nosebleef, the Dadlands, to name a few), and everything in between, there's no one else I would want to share my experiences in this game with than these two, and I cannot thank ESO enough for helping me meet them. :)

My husband and I met through ESO! I started playing in 2018 and was invited to join a new Guild which is where I met my now husband. We started out always competing for the same lots in our Guild auctions (which I always won lol) and eventually became friends outside of the game. Friends became best friends, and soon we were talking all day every day. Finally, we started a long-distance relationship. We were married this past October in a medieval fantasy-themed handfasting!

While today is Heart’s Day (the 16th of Sun’s Dawn), there’s still time to create something special in your home, share your stories of love or friendship, and maybe even pick up a nice gift (or two) from the in-game Crown Store. How are you celebrating this special time both in game and out? Let us know via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!
