Crown Store Showcase – October 2018

09/27/2018

The Witches Festival comes! Check out some fan-favorite masks, costumes, and polymorphs returning to the Crown Store for the spooky season in addition to a host of new furnishings for both ghoulish and genteel homeowners alike. Find them all and more in this month’s Crown Store Showcase!

Costumes

Hats

Moonshadow Wings Mask

The Lepidopterans are a sect of Azura cultists who conceal their features with elaborate butterfly masks. Wearing these extravagant masks has recently become a fad among the jaded youth of mainland Morrowind—and now you can wear one, too!

The Moonshadow Wings Mask will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 8 to October 22.

Dibella’s Doll Mask Pack

When worshipers of Dibella wish to honor the Lady of Love by engaging in anonymous bestowal of affection, they don an exquisite porcelain Dibella's Doll Mask. This bundle includes the Dibella's Doll Mask for Humans and Elves as well as two variations, for Khajiiti and Argonians.

The Dibella's Doll Mask Pack will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 11 to October 15.

Nightmare Daemon Mask Pack

The work of mortal artisans replicating Dremora at their most frightening. This bundle includes the Nightmare Daemon Mask for Humans and Elves along with the variations for Khajiiti and Argonians. Daemonic!

The Nightmare Demon Mask Pack will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 11 to October 15.

Deep Elf Executioner’s Hood

Ancient engravings tell us that a Dwarven executioner, or "Chun Abakch," always concealed his or her features under a hood of black spidersilk, a material that was also used by the Dwemer for funeral shrouds. Feeling sinister? This could be your look!

The Deep Elf Executioner's Hood will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 15 to October 29.

Crafting

Crown Crafting Motif: Grim Harlequin

Do you like dark humor, grim but funny? We've got a stylish motif for you! As Chamberlain Haskill explains, “My Lord Sheogorath has directed me to compile a guide for those seeking to create 'Grim Harlequin' arms and armor, so that the Mad God's mortal servants may have a way to make all their equipment look the same. Of course, this standardization runs counter to all other cult practices, and is insane on the face of it. What's your point?"

The Grim Harlequin Crown Crafting Motif will return to the Crown Store on all platforms from October 15 to October 18.

Crown Crafting Motif: Dead-Water

Use to learn the Dead-Water crafting style. To quote Bolu, the Dead-Water Reel-Ka: “Dead-Water warriors defend the tribe in both life and death. Many travelers find this tradition morbid. They speak of defiling our fallen kin. It is not so. To craft a weapon from the skin and bones of our warriors, this is honoring.”

The Dead-Water Crafting Motif will be available with the launch of Murkmire. Watch our website and official social channels later this month for the Murkmire DLC game pack launch dates!

Outfit Styles

Grothdarr Arms Pack

This arms pack includes a complete set of Outfit styles for Grothdarr weapons that match the Undaunted mask and shoulder awards.

The Grothdarr Arms Pack will be available on all platforms for a limited time from October 31 to November 28 at 10am EDT. During the same time period, the Grothdarr Mask Style Page will have a chance to drop from the final boss in the Veteran Vaults of Madness, and the Grothdarr Shoulder Style Page will have a chance to drop from Gilirion the Redbeard’s Undaunted Chest. See this article for full details on the Monster Outfit Styles.

Housing

Hunter’s Glade

The underground entrance way to this Housing realm leads through a portal to an expansive forested glade in Hircine's Oblivion realm of The Hunting Grounds. Those "blessed" with lycanthropy can maintain werewolf form indefinitely in this otherworldly wilderness.

The Hunter’s Glade will be available on all platforms for a limited time, from October 4 to October 18, in both furnished and unfurnished versions.

Exorcised Coven Cottage

House hunting? Pay no attention to the rumors: this witches hut on the edge of Hag Fen in Glenumbra is guaranteed NOT to be haunted by the dead, the undead, or restless spirits of any kind. It does come with tumbledown walls to keep the crocodiles and wolves out. Spooky, yet cozy!

The Exorcised Coven Cottage will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 18 to November 1.

Furniture

Furnishing Pack: Witches Coven

Bring the moody atmosphere of Hag Fen to your home with these tools and trappings of the witch's trade. Whether brewing potent poisons or cooking cauldrons of questionable stew, craft in true coven style with the included alchemy and provisioning stations!

All in thrall to Hollowjack!

The Sinister Hollowjack Items Furnishing Pack will be available on all platforms for a limited time, from October 18 to October 25.

Mounts

Death Mask Sabre Cat

Most inhabitants of Skyrim hate and loathe necromancy, but those Nords who do stoop to raising the dead tend to go all in, wallowing in death and its symbols. It was no doubt such Nord necromancers who bred the skull-faced Death Mask Sabre Cats as mounts.

The Death Mask Sabre Cat will be available on all platforms for a limited time, from October 11 to October 15. (Love the look of this mount? Look for the matching pet in the October Daily Rewards!)

Shellback Warhorse

Argonian heavy troops are informally known as Shellbacks—so inevitably, their heavy cavalry mounts are called Shellback Warhorses. They are among the strongest breeds known, and their elaborate Argonian armor is a thing of beauty.

The Shellback Warhorse will be available with the launch of Murkmire. Watch our website and official social channels later this month for the Murkmire DLC game pack launch dates!

Shadowghost Guar

Blending in with the shifting gray ash clouds on the slopes of Red Mountain, the Shadowghost Guar is the only known nocturnal breed of the species, and thus they are rarely seen, even by the native Dark Elves. This makes them one of the most distinctive and desirable mounts in Morrowind—and beyond.

The Shadowghost Guar will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time during the week of October 22. Watch the ESO social channels for details!

Shadowghost Horse

Shadowghost Horses are never bred, only found, and then only on misty nights when both moons are dark. Then they are summoned from beyond by hooded Shadowghost Wranglers, roped and saddled and broken for riding by ordinary mortals. No, really!

The Shadowghost Horse will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time during the week of October 22. Watch the ESO social channels for details!

Shadowghost Senche

An oversized breed of black senche-panthers, the Shadowghost Senche is said by the Khajiit to be sacred—or rather unholy—to Namiira the Great Darkness, who sends them as mounts to bear away those who are doomed to die. Dare you ride one of these dark cats in the dead of night?

The Shadowghost Senche will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time during the week of October 22. Watch the ESO social channels for details!

Shadowghost Wolf

Unlike nearly all other wolves, the Shadowghost Wolf has no pack and lives a solitary life, haunting lonely moors and wastelands, appearing only at night and rarely then. Some doubt it is a real creature of the mortal plane at all.

The Shadowghost Wolf will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time during the week of October 22. Watch the ESO social channels for details!

Pets

Jackdaw Daedrat

The planes of Oblivion are infinite in their variation—and so are their vermin. The Jackdaw Daedrat is a bony Daedric rodent that likes to collect shiny things like your jewelry, and nip and nibble at things it shouldn't. But at least it's cute, right?

The Jackdaw Daedrat will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 18 to November 1.

Cantaloupe Swamp Jelly

Though Argonians do relish the elastic flesh of the Black Marsh Swamp Jellies, the whimsical names they give them refer more to their appearance than to their flavor.

The Cantaloupe Swamp Jelly will be available with the launch of Murkmire. Watch our website and official social channels later this month for the Murkmire DLC game pack launch dates!

Polymorphs

Scarecrow Spectre

'Tis the season when terrible tales come to true life! The dark magic that makes a spectre animate a scarecrow is thought to be related to those spells that create lurchers from spriggans. Wherever they come from, this costume enables the wearer to assume the guise of one of these Scarecrow Spectres.

The Scarecrow Spectre polymorph will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 1 to October 4.

Werewolf Lord

Don the Werewolf Lord polymorph, and show them who's the big dog! Wear Hircine's Gift with pride as the savage leader of the lycanthrope pack. Time to howl!

The Werewolf Lord Polymorph will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 8 to October 11.

Pumpkin Spectre

Shor's bones! A Pumpkin Spectre is like a horrific figure from a skooma-induced nightmare! And with this costume, the wearer can take on the chilling semblance of these dread monsters.

The Pumpkin Spectre polymorph will return to the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 22 to October 25.

Upgrades

Vampire/Werewolf Cure

Use of this holy purifying ritual will cleanse a mortal of the curses of vampirism and lycanthropy (werewolfism).

The Vampire/Werewolf Cure will be available on all platforms starting on October 29.
