Very soon, you'll be able to earn unique Crown Crates just by watching The Elder Scrolls Online on Twitch, and we're bringing Crown Packs, ESO Plus™, and ESO: Summerset to the Games on Twitch digital store. Read on for all the details!
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming addition of Twitch Drops and game purchases to your favorite ESO Twitch streams. With this new system, you'll be able to receive in-game rewards, enjoy ESO-themed Twitch goodies, and buy Crown Packs, an ESO Plus membership, and ESO: Summerset directly from Twitch itself, all while supporting your favorite streamers at the same time!
Getting Set Up
To ensure you are eligible to receive an ESO Twitch Drop or make ESO purchases from the Games on Twitch store when they go live, you must first link your ESO and Twitch accounts:
- Log into your ESO account on account.elderscrollsonline.com.
- Navigate to your Linked Accounts.
- Select LINK TWITCH ACCOUNT.
- Confirm by logging into your Twitch account.
Note: You can only link PC/Mac ESO accounts with Twitch at this time.
When you have linked your accounts, you will be able to buy Crown Packs, an ESO Plus membership, and The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset Standard Edition (PC/Mac only) when they are added to the Games on Twitch store on May 21, the same day as the ESO: Summerset PC/Mac Early Access launch.
Twitch Crates
Beginning on May 21, should you make any ESO purchase via the Games on Twitch store and have a linked ESO account, you'll receive a free Twitch Crate. This crate contains the following: either an Ouroboros Twitch Chat Badge OR a random ESO-themed Twitch emote (with seven available in total), a random Twitch reward (such as emotes or Bits), and a single Ouroboros Crown Crate.
Note that you will always receive either the Ourobors badge OR a random emote, never both at the same time.
When you receive a Twitch Crate, you can open it directly from your Twitch Inventory, and the Crown Crate will be delivered straight to your linked ESO account.
Ouroboros Crown Crates
Ouroboros Crown Crates contain a random selection of in-game consumables such as Crown Poisons, Mimic Stones, Riding Lessons, or Experience Scrolls. They also have an extremely rare chance to contain an exclusive Senche of Scarlet Regret mount or Senche Cub of Scarlet Regret pet.
Note that beyond the typical “Common" and “Fine" rewards found in regular Crown Crates and (on rare occasions) the above mount and pet, Ouroboros Crown Crates do not contain any other tiers of items.
You will receive these new Crown Crates from Twitch Crates, but you will also be able to get them from Twitch Drops when they go live at a soon-to-be-announced date. Keep an eye out for more information soon!
When Twitch Drops go live, you'll have a chance to receive a Ouroboros Crown Crate at the end of a supported stream (not during). Should you win, you'll receive an email letting you know. You'll then be able to find your new crate within ESO's in-game Crown Crates menu, and it can be opened like any other Crown Crate. You can read more about Twitch Drops on help.twitch.tv.
Coming to a Twitch Stream Near You!
Soon, you'll be able to make ESO purchases from the Games on Twitch store and be rewarded for it. Even better, you'll have a chance to receive a Ouroboros Crown Crate as a random Drop, simply by watching your favorite ESO streamers. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding ESO Twitch streams that contain Drops in the very-near future!
We're very excited to bring Twitch Drops and more to
The Elder Scrolls Online. Be sure to link your ESO and Twitch accounts right now so you're ready. Good luck!
