Guild Spotlight – Bosriel

08/19/2015

Learn more about the German guild alliance “Bosriel."

This familiar and stable group consists of eight guilds so far, and fights – or stirs trouble – on the European Megaserver for the Aldmeri Dominion. The odd preference for Australian marsupials is just one aspect of this lot, in addition to regular PvP raids for everyone and the always-existing PvE events as well.

Do you think your guild should be showcased next? Just answer our questions – or even your own – in this forum thread. Make sure to add a few nice screenshots and we may feature your guild in the future!

Bosriel

What is your guild's name? Does that name have a special history or significance?

Our alliance's name is “Bosriel", an amalgamation of “bos" (“wood" or “forest") and “riel" (“heart" or “beauty") – as such we're the Heart of the Forest: wild, free, and without fear.
We've picked this name to demonstrate our allegiance to the Aldmeri Dominion.

When was your guild formed? Tell us the story of how the guild came to be.

The whole alliance was founded after disappointing results with previous alliances. In February 2015, three friendly guilds met in TeamSpeak (we all knew each other long before) and decided to found a new alliance, being restricted to small and familiar guilds. We wanted a constant and stable pool of players so you could do pretty much anything with ease, but the fun between people shouldn't fall too short either, if anything. We didn't want trade guilds or mass guilds in the alliance.

What alliance has your guild sworn fealty to?

We're restricted to Aldmeri guilds.

Why did you choose that alliance?

That's been a given fact. All our guilds existed in the Dominion before.

How many members does your guild currently have?

Right now we've got eight guilds in our alliance. The meeting venue guild has over 100 members.

Does your guild have a website?

Of course: http://bosriel-allianz.forumieren.net/

What times and days is the guild most active?

Usually there's always someone online. But in the evening, after 6pm CEST is usually our prime time.

What languages or countries do your members span?

We've got pretty much everyone speaking German, Easterner, Westerner, or even someone from Dubai.

What activities in ESOTU do your members enjoy doing together most?

We've got a balanced amount of events, everything from hardcore PvP to calm fishing evenings.

What does your guild focus on in-game? Do your members prefer delving dungeons together, fighting for keeps in Cyrodiil, roleplaying in the taverns, crafting and trading, or a combination?

Most of us are indeed doing PvP. That's where some will do some PvE as well. But still, the daily Pledges of the Undaunted won't fall short – they're part of the program, every day.

What makes your guild unique?

SUCH an insane bunch you'll only find once! So insane that there'll be an alliance meeting in August in Harz, which we hope to repeat annually. We're insanely familiar among ourselves. We also love giving our activities animal names.

Does your guild ever host special events? If so, tell us about them!

One of our special events is definitely the “Koala PvP Raid", which is massively fun and successful, led by our Koala Dad. We've also got our “Combat Wombat", which aims to bring our lower characters up to level 50 into PvP. Then there's the “Golden Rider", painting dungeons and dolmens red. We're planning to do even more events, such as the “Turtle Trial", aiming at newbies at raiding. Lately we've also discovered playing Hide and Seek.

What is your favorite or most memorable moment as a guild so far in ESOTU?

With this group we've had so many nice and memorable moments that answering this question would simply blow the proportions.

Does your guild secretly (or not so secretly) follow a specific Daedric Prince? If so, which one?

We only believe in one thing: the koala!

After a long day of adventuring, where does your guild enjoy gathering to wind down?

In-game we're usually at some crafting station or inside a bank. Also, we're usually in TeamSpeak as well.

Tell us five fun facts about your guild.

We've got more than five!

  • When we're sitting in TeamSpeak and want to go to bed in a timely manner, usually this won't work and it will be at least 3am.
  • We cheer at each other in TeamSpeak after each and every success or failure.
  • Every weekend we nibble long and thoroughly at our strawberry and smurfberry bonbons.
  • Rather often, we've got musical support (e.g. during a keep siege or sometimes just during a long ride – Bonanza for the win!).
  • We've got a bias to nudism. Whenever possible, clothes are thrown into a corner and world bosses fought naked (including video evidence).
  • The most attractive Orc of all of Tamriel belongs to us.
  • We've invented a magical word, which immediately will raise the sentiment whenever it's spoken, especially late in the evening or on weekends: “KNISPELHOSE!" (there's no real translation for that word...)

If people are interested in joining your guild, who should they contact?

Interested guilds should apply on our homepage. Single players are welcome to pick one of our guilds and become proud Bosrielians that way. For questions, feel free to ask @bullcoflair, @JeeZaara, or @Sinbaar!
