A New Kind of Monster – By Galien on TESO-RP
The veiled girl rode home, rode like a demon out of some hoary old Yokudan tale, her heels savage on the ribs of her blood-bay courser. Her white garments, loose on her frame, fluttered hard in the wind. A bright train of fine dust trailed far behind her, conjured by the mount's hooves out of the tan desert.
This was not the first time she knew. Most of the time, like everyone else, she came to her decisions by way of mixing proper reasoning with a jumble of gut feelings and instincts, all held together by the current mood and, in her case, often overruled by a good, old-fashioned what-the-hell. Once in a long while, though, a very different kind of intuition broke through with lightning clarity, something not of her own making: cold, alien, imperious, commanding. This is what is, and that is what must be done. She had learned to respect it and to heed it.

They say that right before you die, your life flashes before your eyes. That in that final moment, you see the defining points of your past with extreme clarity, that suddenly you see what was really important.
Cirranwe didn't know if that was true. She had come close to dying many times in the past, and had never been subjected to this enlightening slideshow. But as she sat tied to her bed like an animal prepared for slaughter, it seemed like time itself was breaking down. That the lines between past and present were blurring and distorting. Did that mean she was dying? Or simply losing her mind?

Elsweyr had a chilling breeze that night. Blowing through S'Ahjiir's mane, the wind cooled his furry features. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he remembers the days of the sea breeze whirling by- Containing a small itch for the days when he was adventuring by himself and didn't have to worry about a rambunctious kid and a nagging wife. He mused into the blackness of the night in his native tongue softly, shaking his head with a small laugh. He grinned at the thoughts.
"At least we have each other." His bright smile was always said to have lit up a room, even if the tongue behind it struck like silver. Even now, while he was searching for the aforementioned troubled child who had been lost for two days, he couldn't help but grin.
