ESO News July 2015

The month of July was quite big in terms of ESO news. The PTS got Update 7 and the Imperial City DLC on July 28 and since then there has been a lot of discussion about the new items, new mechanics and new content. In case you missed anything I'll try to cover the big news here along with any less known changes and news like the tweak to light armor values on the PTS.

A PTS Report – Imperial City DLC

This is just an overview of some of my experiences (and also some community experiences) while testing out the new Imperial City DLC on the Public Test Server. You can also test out the new content if you play on the PC/Mac by opening the Launcher Settings and selecting Show Public Test Environment. You will have to download a complete separate copy of the game in order to play on the PTS.

ESO-RP Episode 42 – Part 1: Imperial City Impressions, Spindleclutch Guide & Hijinks

Join Nate aka Misa, Nights Knight and Siren as we erect many spines of errr..erection. Hijinks ensue in Morriel's absence as she traverses the dangers of Cyrodiil. Never fear! The Elder Scrolls Online has announced new Crown Store items for sale this month. ESO fans were beginning to wonder when new stock would be available for purchase, but the devs came through with an exciting lineup.

Imperial City is Familiar Yet Different in The Elder Scrolls Online

The first Elder Scrolls Online game expansion will arrive soon. Imperial City DLC is launching August 31 for PC/Mac, and in the middle of September for Xbox One and PS4. There'll be lots to do in this highly anticipated expansion. Along with the introduction of the new Tel Var Stones in-game currency, there promises to be engaging content for PvE and PvP players alike.

How to Enter the Imperial City in ESO

The long awaited Imperial City expansion isn't set to launch until later this year, but the devs are already prepping ESO fans with lots of useful information prior to release. Imperial City is the first major content release since Craglorn, and ZeniMax Online Studios (ZOS) is leaving nothing to chance. Through ESO Live presentations, published articles, and game cons, company reps are making sure players are ready to hit the Imperial City streets at full speed.

Tel Var Stones Explained

Zenimax has released more information on Tel Var Stones, the alternate currency of the Imperial City DLC. We now know a lot more about the perils of finding Tel Var Stones! Players won't be able to find Stones in the PvE sections of the Imperial City, so there's a constant risk involved.
