The Bramblescar Clan
What is your guild's name? Does that name have a special history of significance?
The Bramblescar Clan's name is significant in that it represents strength, healing and perseverance. Our journeys are filled with brambles and thorns, and though we'll certainly bleed we will also endure, forming scars to tell the stories of our greatness.
When was your guild formed? Tell us the story of how the guild came to be.
The Clan was formed early in the fall of the year 2E 582. Krolg gro-Drazharg, a wood orc loyal to his wood elven allies, had suffered the consequences of being a lone wolf. Nearly meeting his death by a mammoth's tusk, he emerged with a greater need for companionship and a drive to lead. A variety of other events occurred that lead him to Veesu-Ra, a brute of an Argonian from the Gray Mire. Together they went to Elden Root and pressed to speak with King Camoran Aeradan, only managing to work their way up to one of his many advisers, who nonetheless helped them to establish the clan as it was mutually beneficial for The Dominion and the stray people of Valenwood.
What alliance has your guild sworn fealty to?
The Clan is loyal to The Aldmeri Dominion, perhaps more to King Camoran Aeradan than Queen Ayrenn, and seeks to strengthen Valenwood by focusing on unexpected connections.
Why did you choose that alliance?
The forests of Valenwood are ancient; many places have been untouched by man or mer. The Three Banners War threatens the health of the Bosmeri nation and the sacred Green, and with Queen Ayrenn on the Ruby Throne the threat will be extinguished, the wilds returned to their keepers to regrow and flourish in new ways.
How many members does your guild currently have?
5-10 or so active members (many with alts), and nearly 30+ members all together.
Does your guild have a website?
Only a thread on TESO-RP.com:

What times and days is the guild most active?
We hold Misc. Valenwood Events posted on TESO-RP.com's calendar, though the times and days sometimes change with conflicting schedules.
We're also actively roleplaying on random days throughout the week, often later into the nights.
(6:00 PM - 12:00 AM PDT)
What countries do your members span?
United States of America and countries in Europe as far as we know.
What activities in ESO do your members enjoy doing together most?
Roleplaying, PvE (Public Dungeons, Delves, Dolmens, World Bosses, etc.)
What does your guild focus on in-game? Do your members prefer delving dungeons together, fighting for keeps in Cyrodiil, roleplaying in the taverns, crafting and trading, or a combination?
Roleplaying with a focus on public events and inclusive stories.
What makes your guild unique?
We are focused on four specific races, but almost every race has a good chance of joining.
Wood Elves, Wood Orcs, Gray Mire Argonians and Khajiit are the "preferred" races. While the races of men are generally acceptable, Dark Elves and High Elves are the least likely to be allowed.
We strive to adhere to the lore of the world while adding to it our own stories, which in themselves are rather unique. The mini-alliance of wood elves, wood orcs and Argonians within Cormount may seem almost overly unique, but in our mind it was just waiting to happen; the politics of it make more sense than you'd first think.
Is your guild part of a larger alliance of guilds? Why did you join them?
Not really, but we are close with TESO-RP.com and The Dominion Accord (a public RP community guild for phasing and making connections) so we have a loose sort of kinship with every roleplayer and roleplaying guild out there.
Does your guild ever host special events? If so, tell us about them!
We do! We've been putting on the Green Leaf Tavern since early summer, and finally put that to rest with the new bi-weekly Misc. Valenwood Events project. As posted above, those event days are sometimes rescheduled to different days or times, but there are always two of them.
I've been completely in awe of how the ESO Community Managers have kept the community aware of our events. I've never seen such incredible respect and support given to the community by a game's team.
What is your favorite or most memorable moment as a guild so far in ESO?
Oh, this is a hard one. After the Roots of the Moravar storyline, there are so many wonderful memories. I think the point where I said "This is definitely worth the time and effort." was when Falondir, Falenyth and Krolg delved into Morigandrasel (Hall of Darkened Gifts), a mythical Ayleid ruin represented by both Wormroot Depths in Grahtwood and Blackvine Ruins in Malabal Tor. (It was a big place with big history!)
No one really knew what we were going in there for, we only wanted to keep this "darkened gift" that the Bosmer had given to their Ayleid neighbors, away from the Altmer supremacists (Veiled Heritance remnants) who would likely use it for something terrible. Little did we know that the Altmer were being led by dremora servants of Vaermina, and that they would unleash the "moravar" (literally "woodmouth" - hideous, magical, mythical and root-mouthed daedra-spawn from a Bosmer's worst nightmares).
So on our first delve, Wormroot Depths, we encountered the dremora, who'd done away with their Altmer pawns (they'd done their task of gathering wood elf and wood orc slaves to dig for the sunken city). And near the end we encountered one who summoned a daedroth - awesome boss fight to roleplay; it literally chased us through half of the ruin, burned the roots we were using to keep a height advantage, and beat the crap out of all of us. Before they could even go further, though, the moravar awakened - seeds from the "nightmare tree" (the Darkened Gift) had been forced into the mouths of the wood orc and wood elf slaves, turning them into feral, red-eyed abominations that chased the three mer all the way back out of the ruin. This last part we actually roleplayed on the TESO-RP.com forums, through post-by-post paragraph RP, and at the end, my Greenspeaker character, Epherus, called upon the forest's roots to crush the entrance, bringing Ayleid stone crumbling down just behind his fleeing clanmates as he fainted.
Then Epherus made the mistake of telling an elder in Woodhearth about the trapped moravar, and thinking that they would only hunt the Pactless, outsiders and Oathbreakers like the old myth said, the elder went to Morigandrasel and let them out. Of course, the myth had been altered by spinners to fit their agenda, and so he was the first to be "seeded;" the roots pushing down his throat and leaving a seed that quickly burst to "life", making him one of them. From there, the crisis grew and the storyline exploded, involving a big chunk of the Aldmeri Dominion roleplaying community, even a guild of PvE/PvP focused bosmer enthusiasts,
The Noore, who I'd coordinated a bit with.
Does your guild secretly (or not so secretly) follow a specific Daedric Prince? If so, which one?
Some within the clan may secretly revere the Huntsman, Hircine. Krolg is a werewolf and has formed a hidden pack within the clan to hunt together. He more often hunts in Reaper's March, avoiding civilization but occasionally killing traveling merchants and wandering Khajiit. Mauloch is considered a non-daedric version of Malacath, and is also worshipped by many orcs in the Clan.
After a long day of adventuring, where does your guild enjoy gathering to wind down?
The Green Leaf Tavern has the best jagga east of Vulkwasten, if that's how you like to wind down. Otherwise, some retire to Bramblescar Hold, a treespire in Cormount that houses multiple pod-homes higher up in the branches. There's even a bridge grown by the resident Greenspeaker, Epherus, leading to a refurbished wood orc longhouse.
Tell us five fun facts about your guild.
- We eat people. No. Not really. The Meat Mandate is only loosely adhered to by some Bosmer within the Clan. At least one strictly adheres to the Mandate though.
- We intend to take many more contracts in roleplaying, and even have a long list of "Dispatch Contracts" for members to take up at any time.
- We tell awesome stories. Want to know how tigers got their stripes? Ask Falondir! He knows the "truth"!
- We have an awkward, tubby, drooling, thieving Argonian who keeps our meats freezy so they stay good for eats. But he also eats a lot of the meats... So he's not particularly efficient.
- We know how to throw a party. The Woodhearth New Life Festival was awesome, and the Cormount Heart's Day Celebration was also a big hit. Epherus did a handfasting for a couple from another guild, and we played a game called "Lover's Luck", a bit like Chocolate Russian Roullette, but... Fitting for the night's theme, and using "tyamal" (from "taste" and "gold" in Ayleidoon) a fanon bosmeri bug/honey candy I created.
If people are interested in joining your guild, who should they contact?
