Lightning Priest

My name is Shade! My goal when joining this game was to figure out how to create an effective build. I tried many different class and race combos and stumbled upon this. Now it’s pretty typical—a Breton Sorcerer—but I wanted to figure out how I could maximize my abilities as a DPS. I wanted a build that was seemingly effortless to use because of the power it packed. So the build itself is simple, but there is a secret. It’s self-sustaining! Here’s how:

Primary Bar (Destro Staff)

Mages Fury (Endless Fury) - This right here is a fantastic ability due to its final kill magicka regen. Useful as a finisher.

Impulse (Pulsar) - One of the best AoE abilities in the game, it has the ability to reduce maximum health. Useful when things get too close.

Crystal Shard (Crystal Fragments) - Best sorcerer ability to date. I can’t leave home without it. It has good damage and I like that it has a chance to make the next use an instant cast.

Encase (Restraining Prison) - A wonderful CC that can slow down the fight and allow me to drop heals or escape if needed.

Lightning Splash (Lightning Flood) - AoE (used as my opener sometimes) that is good for getting a hold of groups. I prefer the Flood morph for its increased radius.

Ultimate - Storm Atronach (Greater Storm Atronch) - The best ultimate to use, since it can tank for you when you’re fighting a single enemy. It buys time for me to either drop heals or put out a massive amount of damage. I primarily save it for bosses.

Secondary Bar (Resto Staff)

This bar is what allows me to self-sustain.

Endless Fury - See above

Dark Exchange (Dark Deal) - This is amazing. I chose this morph because I can move around rather than get one-shot by a boss or trampled by a group. Either way, since I’m not a stamina user at all, I have all this stamina lying around to let me pop this and regain magicka and health in the middle of combat. And by the time I’m running low on either, my stamina has regenerated so I can pop it again. So effective in combat!

Crystal Shard- See above

Lightning Form (Boundless Storm) - Coupled with Dark Exchange, this makes me unstoppable. My speed is increased, so as I move about with Dark Exchange activated I move faster and my armor is increased drastically. This is so powerful in the midst of combat!

Blessing of Protection (Combat Prayer) - Any heal will work here, but here’s the catch—Combat Prayer also increases my armor, adding to my already-significant armor. It also provides a nice spam heal for when things get tough.

Ultimate - Storm Atronach - See above

How it Works

Spam Attacks -> Boundless Storm -> Combat Prayer -> Dark Exchange -> Repeat!

This is what makes this build so powerful and has made me a renowned DPS. I shared this because I want you to achieve the same! But you can’t even begin to make this effective without the right armor and stats.

Attributes and Gear

I put 49 points into health. My health normally sits around 2200. For gear, I use all light armor; all six of the Warlock set, with the rest being Seducer pieces. All are enchanted for magicka. That allows my magicka to sit around 2000. For my Mundus Stone, I’m using The Mage. The great thing, though, is that with all of that my magicka regeneration hits 150, allowing for huge sustainability. My spell attributes, such as resistance, crit, and damage, are all very high and some are capped, which is just another benefit of my build!

Well guys, hope you enjoy it! Hit me up @xXShadeOpsXx if you want to discuss or hang out!
