The French guild Métatrone takes center stage in this week’s feature.
It isn’t easy to find the perfect group to game with, so we want to help! Every few weeks, we choose a new guild to interview. Read more to find out about Métatrone. Who knows? Maybe they’re just the guild you’ve been searching for. To submit your guild to be considered for the spotlight, post in this thread. Make sure to give detailed answers to the questions and include fun screenshots!
What is your guild’s name? Does that name have a special history of significance?
MÉTATRONE is a reference to a celestial power, “Metatron.”
When was your guild formed? Tell us the story of how the guild came to be.
MÉTATRONE was born from the meeting of two players, Beldmage and Zaebo. After passing through several guilds, they decided to create their own for the game Aion. Thus Métatrone was formed in November 2008. We have since grown into a very active and ever-growing community.
What alliance has your guild sworn fealty to?
The Ebonheart Pact.
Why did you choose that alliance?
The Ebonheart Pact felt like a natural choice, being made of nations and heroes (Almalexia for one) who care about the future of Tamriel and Nirn as a whole. The people of the Pact care deeply about all that affects the balance of the world, and we feel the same attachment to that cause. It resonates with our name and its meaning.
Furthermore, we count in our midst Tribune Sotha Sil, who appointed us to vanquish Mannimarco in Cyrodiil and safeguard the north against the invading Daedra. And only the Ebonheart Pact can serve the Tribunal!
How many members does your guild currently have?
About 70.
Does your guild have a website?
Of course! http://metatrone.fr
What times and days is the guild most active?
We are active every day, especially during PvP bounties from 8:45 PM to 11:30 PM CEST.
What countries do your members span?
Mostly France, but some members are from Switzerland and Belgium.
What activities in ESO do your members enjoy doing together the most?
We are very much a PvP guild: we love nothing more than to set out as a guild raiding party in Cyrodiil to hold high the Ebonheart standard and defend our Alliance.
What makes your guild unique?
We are a cross-game community where competition goes hand in hand with a fun-loving attitude.
Is your guild part of a larger alliance of guilds? Why did you join them?
Yes, we created an alliance with some others in the Ebonheart Pact and called it The Undividable Alliance (Alliance Indivisible: http://www.indivisible.fr/).
We bonded with other guilds because we knew them from other games and meant to keep gathering forces for the PvP in ESO. The size of the map allows us to keep a full active roster.
Does your guild ever host special events? If so, tell us about them!
We hold events almost every night, four of those nights being set up for PvP in Cyrodiil, two for dungeons, and the seventh as R&R for the troops.
What is your favorite or most memorable moment as a guild so far in ESO?
Raiding has rewarded us with many a memorable night in Cyrodiil, especially when we crushed the enemy! Winning an arduous siege, taking revenge over an enemy raiding party, taking forts for the throne, or having a good laugh after the battle are all precious moments. And we are certain to have many more in the future, thanks to our large-scale PvP alliance, Alliance Indivisible.
Does your guild secretly (or not so secretly) follow a specific Daedric Prince? If so, which one?
Our guild adheres to the principles of Azura, because Sotha Sil, the tribune rumored to be an evolution of Azura, is a member of Métatrone. For the Tribunal!
After a long day of adventuring, where does your guild enjoy gathering to wind down?
We like to rest right there in Cyrodiil, in a hard-earned fort still ringing from the cries and clangs of battle!
Tell us five fun facts about your guild!
- There have been many funny situations in Cyrodiil. Once, hunted down in the field, we managed to hide. Then, harrowed by the fight and the chase, one of our raid leaders said that, should the enemy attack us there, he would shave his entire body. At the exact same second, another party barged in and slaughtered us. We still laugh about it.
- We as a community have evolved over many PvP games, and we have run into other players in ESO who know us. We are often happy that the game can reunite us to share new happy moments with them.
- We have our own little internal contest between “Team Vampire” and “Team Werewolf.”
- We are both soldiers of the Pact and Dragonborn. Over fifteen of our members have created Dragonknights as an homage to TES V: Skyrim.
- The Daedric prince Mehrunes Dagon might very soon take a mortal form and join the ranks of Métatrone. It is said he might very soon walk Tamriel. So pay attention!
